Before the first run
Make the engineering question testable.
A useful AEIS case starts from an approved BIM or IFC source, a supported engineering task, a clear browser-or-worker execution boundary, and a deliverable the team can verify.
Use these checks before technical scoping or a controlled evaluation. They apply to BIM source review, browser design, connected analysis delivery, and AI-assisted planning.
- Confirm the IFC revision, issue status, and Revit preparation path when the model originates in Revit 2026+.
- Inspect geometry, attributes, levels, units, and validation findings before calculation or analysis begins.
- Record assumptions that are not carried by the model: soil idealisation, exclusions, design options, and temporary conditions.
- Name the supported module or licensed worker stage the source is intended to feed.
- Define the result, file package, or report a qualified engineer will accept as a successful first run.
- Keep package identity coherent: do not mix artifacts from superseded builds or abandoned runs.
